The Mission:
There’re so many FPS and TPS games across all eras on the market, and those game create even more gun models than ever. How to make our weapons stand out from the rest other games? That’s the mission!
Tasks can often change in a fast-paced development team , so this mission includes but not limited to the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Understand the basic running mechanism of different weapons, and then Concept the design of Weapon based on logic and facts
- Research subject matter relating to mission objectives to ensure an stunning but logic weapon design
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Producers, Animators, and Tech Artists to deliver deferred weapons that provided top-notch player experiences.
- A “performance, efficiency, and quality” balanced minded production.
- Define team goals, action plans, and schedules for the project.
- Provide your team with consistent guidance, goals, opportunities, and resources.
- Contribute creative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development.
The Requirements:
- 5+ total years in the games industry working in an art capacity, with at least 3 shipped title in the AAA console / PC space.
- 2+ years and at least 1 shipped title as a Lead Weapons Artist.
- We want to see some work you made before that could blow our minds.
- Excellent understanding of Physically Based Rendering systems and techniques.
- Familiarity with photogrammetry process or procedural content creation.
- Strong understanding of game art with ability to clearly discuss modern trends.
- Inspiring portfolio demonstrating focus and commitment to realistic weapons and current gen 2D/3D asset creation; ideally demonstrating hard surface firearm and weapon models with high-quality materials and textures.
- Collaboratively work with multiple people and disciplines to maintain the look and feel of the project
- Provide and receive feedback on a regular basis to maintain the look and feel of the project
Extra Points:
- Strong traditional art foundation.
- History of playing a variety of gun game genres
- An engineering degree in tradition science field is highly interested to us!
